016: Butterfly Barnes: On the Power of HBCUs, Navigating White Spaces & False Personas

Butterfly Barnes is a junior at Bowie State university. She has always been an extremely social being and has learned through the years to ue her power of connection to help others. Butterfly has a passion for advocating on other's behalf and started a campus organization called "I Define Me," which is a safespace for students to discuss and work through their hardships.

Butterfly also has a passion for singing and expression. She is channeling that creativity into an entrepreneurial endeavor called FlysSocial which provides social media support and content creation.
